Report: Stargirl Will Make Her First Appearance During The CW’s Crisis on Infinite Earths Event
In an update to an earlier story that broke Friday, we are learning Stargirl will not only air on The CW, but she will make her grand entrance in The Arrowverse during the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover.
Business Insider is confirming Stargirl will air on The CW as well as its home turf, DC Universe. The outlet adds the character, played by Brec Bassinger, will have an introduction during Crisis to explain how she fits into the larger DC multiverse.

They note a source close to “the matter” told them this. Goes the report:
“Those shows are crossing over in an upcoming television event called ‘Crisis on Infinite Earths,’ titled after the 1985 limited comic-book series. The Stargirl character, played by Brec Bassinger, will be briefly introduced during the event, the person said, adding that it will explain how she fits into the ‘bigger DC live-action universe.'”
Business Insider also says they don’t know how much Stargirl will be edited to fit The CW mold. However, their source claims the new show is going to be “family-friendly and not adult-oriented like” Titans and Doom Patrol – where F-bombs, nudity, sex, and blood are common.
Their report also mentions as well the persisting speculation DC Universe is in trouble and will be folded into HBO Max. They cite the canceling of Swamp Thing as the source of all the worry.
A source told them in July the “services will coexist,” something we reported too. DC Universe and other similar services owned by WarnerMedia “will remain as-is,” said Hollywood Reporter, insinuating that could eventually change.
No guarantee or reprieve exists realistically for DC Universe or DC Comics. CEO of their parent company, AT&T, Randall Stephenson stated clearly in a company conference call last month there aren’t any “sacred cows” among their assets:
“We’ll analyze the merits of each of our businesses individually and as a part of the whole. But let me be clear, we have no sacred cows.”

Either one could be sold off to keep costs down and please AT&T’s main investor. Ethan Van Sciver and others theorize that is the future DC faces.

Stargirl premieres this spring. It is the first DC Universe Original set to air on regular TV. Episodes will air first on DC Universe then be broadcast in CW primetime the following day. The entire season will be archived on CW streaming for binging purposes.
Crisis on Infinite Earths begins Sunday, Dec. 8th.
