He indicated they could be working on developing the Fantastic Four and X-Men within the first six months of 2020.

Feige stated:
“We’ve been told it’s looking very, very good and could happen in the first six months of next year. The notion of the characters coming back is great. It’s nice when a company that created all these characters can have access to all those characters. It’s unusual not to. But in terms of actually thinking about it and actually planning things, we haven’t started that yet.
Following this statement, there wasn’t a lot of chatter surrounding the Fantastic Four. There wouldn’t be given Feige noted they wouldn’t start developing the project until the first six months of 2020.
However, at San Diego Comic-Con, Feige confirmed the Fantastic Four would be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), “I’m extremely excited about those characters and about bringing Marvel’s first family up to the level and platform that they deserve.”
He noted they were nowhere near casting or even working out the story.
