The Batman: Robert Pattinson Talks Table Reads and Shows Off His Physique in New Ad
Robert Pattinson is demonstrably lanky and had to get into fighting playboy shape to play the Caped Crusader in The Batman.
Despite persistent rumors the Lighthouse star is having trouble bulking up, he showed off his progress in a new ad for Dior Homme.

In shadowy photos, promoting Dior’s new fragrance, Pattinson looks more toned, similar to his Twilight days, though he was reminiscent of a slim indie rocker then. He also channels his inner James Dean.

Dior also released a YouTube promo with Pattinson in New York City shadowboxing for a camera and frolicking with a date. They also go for a walk in the streets at night when he shows caution in an alert Bruce Wayne-like manner as the couple is approached by three assailants. Have a look at that:
Pattinson’s bod isn’t much bulkier but neither was Christian Bale’s. We await to see how it looks in his Batsuit which Pattinson said he’s seen and is excited by. The suit – according to a recent report – is believed to be based on designs by Lee Bermejo.
Close-knit Groups
Robert Pattinson also took an opportunity to talk about The Batman’s cast and the start of production this month.
He opened up to Empire Online in a podcast where he said the cast is full of “massive” names but they function as a “cohesive” group:
“It’s funny, they seem very cohesive. It’s kind of, there is something… They all… I don’t know. You can see why it’s not just like ‘get massive names.’ It’s a very particular kind of ilk. I can’t wait to start on this, it’s going to be so cool.”
The first table read has him equally excited and nervous. With a laugh, he remarked, “It’s terrifying… And like ‘you’re fired.'”
Pattinson has uttered a slew of funny and offbeat comments comparable to the above ever since he began talking about playing such a huge character as the Caped Crusader.

His Opinion
Amongst his odder observations is “Batman’s not a hero,” just a “complicated guy” with a slightly off morality. Pattinson told The New York Times in October:
“His morality is a little bit off. He’s not the golden boy, unlike almost every other comic-book character. There is a simplicity to his worldview, but where it sits is strange, which allows you to have more scope with the character.”
He followed that up months later declaring to Felix Geist of Today “Batman’s not a superhero,” explaining why:
“It doesn’t count. You need to have like magical powers to be a superhero.”
Directed and co-written by Matt Reeves, The Batman is currently in production in England. According to Cosmic Book News, Glasgow, Scotland will double for Gotham City and be where the Batmobile is unveiled.
Robert Pattinson, like his costar Colin Farrell, starts filming for the reboot soon.
