Netflix revealed the official synopsis for The Witcher Season 2 alongside new photos of Henry Cavill’s Geralt.


As first reported by, the official description for Season 2 begins, “Convinced Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen.”

The description continues, “While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.”

On Twitter, Netflix would also reveal new photos of Henry Cavill’s Geralt of Rivia. Along with the photos they added, “His emotional shield can ward off any charmer, but his trusted sword he’ll wield, will be matched with new armour.”

Here’s a better look at both images. First, a look at Geralt’s new armor.

And here’s the close up of his sword.

They also went on to tease that more updates would be arriving tomorrow.

They wrote, “And what will destiny bring tomorrow?”

This new look at Geralt’s armor comes just a few days after Redanian Intelligence acquired a first look Ciri’s costume for The Witcher Season 2.

Redanian Intelligence describes the costume as her “witcheress outfit, which will be given to her during her training in Kaer Morhen.”

As you can see in the one photo, Ciri is accompanied by two other women. Redanian Intelligence isn’t certain on who these women are, but they speculate that one of them could be the legendary Elven sorceress and Ciri’s ancestor Lara Dorren.

They believe Lara Dorren is the blonde woman. As for the redheaded woman they believe it could be Cerro, the Redanian Queen.
