Lunar Distribution Offers ‘The Flash’ Comic Display Stand With DC Graphic Novels For Stores To Promote The Ezra Miller-Led Film
A Flash graphic novel display, part of DC’s Standee program, is now available for order from Lunar Distribution. This display, a 30″ x 20″ x 72″ cardboard stand or “standee,” is a perk for comic book stores that will help promote the Ezra Miller-led film. Naturally, that means this offer comes with a lengthy backlist of DC graphic novels and omnibuses.
“With The Flash in theaters on June 16, retailers can capitalize on excitement for the film with this display, featuring the movie logo and an eye-catching illustration of the iconic DC hero!” Lunar says in their press release. “DC offers both the standee and new 8-pocket display,” they add, which hold “approximately 24 standard or deluxe graphic novels or 120 comic books.”
This deal is strictly for US retailers and the cost of shipping for the stand is covered by DC and not the retailer. The accompanying books, however, will arrive in stores with the regular weekly shipment from Lunar at the normal cost. As usual, some assembly is required, supplies are limited, and qualified retailers have to order through their online Lunar Dashboard.
Retailers shall have only a qualified number of standees supplied for their store but it’s noted that retailers with more than one location “have the option to assign your standees to any of your stores.” Additionally, if they want to divide them amongst their stores, they have the option to add additional lines to their order.
The title selection available to order is dominated by Flash books such as an Absolute Flashpoint hardcover, Flash: Rebirth trade paperback volumes 16 and 17, and omnibuses and trades of Geoff Johns’ run on the book. But they also include Justice League editions like JLA by Grant Morrison, the Tower of Babel Deluxe Edition, and collections of Scott Snyder stories.
The Flash comes out in June which gives plenty of time for the standees and retailers to add their hype for the film but the displays won’t arrive in their qualified stores until May 9th if ordered by February 20th. Standees will also soon be offered to comic stores to promote Blue Beetle and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
