‘One Piece’ Continues Its American PR Tour, Announces Official Collaboration With The Los Angeles Rams

Just days after Luffy took to the skies of Manhattan and met his strongest match yet in the form of a tree, the Straw Hat pirates are set to continue ingratiating themselves into America’s cultural institutions with a special team-up between themselves and the Los Angeles Rams NFL team.

Per an official press release, Bandai Namco Entertainment and the Los Angeles Rams have announced that the NFL team is hopping aboard the Thousand-Sunny for the ‘Los Angeles and One Piece Game Collaboration Day’.

Set to take place on November 26th during the Rams’ home game match-up against the Cleveland Browns, the large scale collaboration event will be not only one of the largest in One Piece’s franchise history, but the first time that the LA-based team has teamed-up with a Japanese IP at in any capacity.

As part of the event, the Rams’ home base of Sofi Stadium will display various characters from Eiichiro Oda’s famous work on its “LED ribbons, TV monitors, and digital signage.”

Further, during the game breaks between the first and second and third and fourth quarters of the game, the team will screen an exclusive, one-minute long ‘Los Angeles and One Piece Game Collaboration Day” video preview of the series on SoFi stadium’s 360°, double-sided Infinity Screen.

Throughout the game, the Infinity Screen will also utilize its AR snap lenses to project images of random fans onto One Piece’s legendary bounty signs.

To commemorate the team-up, Bandai Namco Entertainment and the Los Angeles Rams are also giving away limited-edition One Piece merch, with the first 60,000 fans to make it through the SoFi Stadium gates on Sunday will receive a limited edition sports towel featuring the collaboration’s exclusive logo.

Not only that, but the first 10,000 fans will also receive a limited edition One Piece branded clear bag featuring an image of the series protagonist Monkey D. Luffy from the One Piece: Bounty Rush mobile game Bounty Rush on the front and a group shot taken from the One Piece card game on the back.

Leading up to this historical event, the Rams have adorned their official website with custom One Piece logos and banners, the latter of which can be clicked in order to navigate to “a new, English-only One Piece information site for overseas fans.”

As noted above, the Straw Hat Crew is will make their way to Inglewood and SoFi stadium on December 3rd.
