Bandai Namco’s Dragon Ball Z Kakarot’s Release Date and Pre-Order Bonuses Revealed

A new report reveals the release date for Bandai Namco’s upcoming Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot video game.

According to the official Dragon Ball News website, the game will release on January 16, 2020. Twitter user GovetaXV provides a brief overview.

Along with the release, they also announced three pre-order items.

Those pre-order items include a training menu that allows you to fight a female warrior called Bonyu. Bandai Namco announced Bonyu would be joining the game back in August. The character is created by Akira Toriyama and was originally the sixth member of the Ginyu Force. Bandai Namco notes “she will be featured in an important side quest.”

The second bonus is an extra bit of new story roughly translated as Dangerous Party of Friends. It allows you to partake in a celebration for Goku’s return from Planet Yardrat.

Finally, the third bonus will be an edible item that allows player to raise their stats to help them advance more easily in the beginning stages of the game.

While most outlets are reporting the site also released the date when pre-orders can be made, that option is already available on Bandai Namco’s website.

Here’s the official description for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot:

“Relive the story of Goku in DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT! Beyond the epic battles, experience life in the DRAGON BALL Z world as you fight, fish, eat, and train with Goku. Explore the new areas and adventures as you advance through the story and form powerful bonds with other heroes from the DRAGON BALL Z universe.”

The game will feature a number of iconic Dragon ball characters. They recently announced Trunks would be joining the game alongside Bonyu.

The game is being developed by CyberConnect2. It will be available on PlaySation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
