Crunchyroll Announces Tower of God Release Date, Voice Cast, And New New Key Visuals At C2E2

Crunchyroll revealed more details about their upcoming Tower of God anime series that they are producing with WEBTOON at C2E2.

First they revealed two new key visuals for the show.

Not only did they release the two new key visuals, but they also announced the voice cast for Bam, Rachel, and Headon.

Taichi Ichikawa will give voice to Bam, Saori Hayami will voice Rachel, and Hochu Otsuka will voice Headon.

Ichikawa previously voiced Kengo on Hinamatsuri and Chinese Cuisine Research Society Member in Food Wars: Sokugeki no Soma.

Saori Hayami voices Himawari Uzumaki on Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. She also voices Shinobu Kocho on Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba, Therese Alexanderite in The Rising of the Shield Hero, Blizzard and Hellish Blizzard in One Punch Man, Atalanta in Fate/Apocrypha, and many more.

Hochu Otsuka previously voiced Hiraiya in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Heartman in Death Stranding, Höfner in Carole & Tuesday, Sakonji Urokodaki in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba, Hakurou in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, Abuto in Gintama, Sato in Ajin, Jiraiya in Naruto: Shippuden, and many more.

Along with the casting announcements, Crunchyroll revealed that Takashi Sano will direct the series. He will be joined by Hirokazu Hanai as Assistant Director.

Erika Yoshida will lead Series Composition, Kevin Penkin will head the music, and character design will be headed by Masahi Kudo and Miho Tanino.

Crunchyroll also provided a new official synopsis for the series:

“The upcoming Crunchyroll Original series centers on the journey of a young man as he battles his way through the mysterious Tower, building friendships, discovering the rules that govern this tower, and facing unimaginable terrors, as he strives to find the only friend he’s ever known.”

The series will premiere on Crunchyroll on April 1, 2020.
