He receives visions of Planet Vegeta being destroyed at the hands of Frieza. Bardock realizes the betrayal is all too real and decides to take the fight to Frieza in order to save his race and homeworld.
This film will be followed up by Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn. This film was released in 1995 and was the 12th movie in the Dragon Ball Z franchise. The movie showcased Goku and Vegeta’s fight against a brand new villain in Janemba. It also features the return of Frieza as well as a parody version of Adolf Hitler. The film also showcases Goku and Vegeta fusing into Gogeta in order to defeat Janemba and bring peace to the universe.
Toei Animation made the announcement on Twitter.

Even Sonny Strait, voice actor, and director in Dragon Ball Super couldn’t help but get into the swing of things as he Tweeted out that he just finished three interviews to promote the release of these remastered classics.

The timing of these remastered editions is really interesting. They come just a month before Dragon Ball Super: Broly comes to theaters in Japan and two months before it arrives in North America. These movies set down Goku’s origins as well as the first appearance of Gogeta. The origin of Goku will definitely be addressed once again in Dragon Ball Super: Broly and many believe it will make changes to these older films including changing Goku’s origin from a would-be conqueror to more of a refugee.
It also could hint that we might see Gogeta appear in Dragon Ball Super: Broly as well and give more weight to the rumor that he would show up.
Bardock: The Father of Goku and Fusion Reborn will come to theaters on November 3 and 5. Tickets are on sale now. Fans who attend will also get to view exclusive content and an exclusive trading card.
What do you think? Does this double feature sound fun?
