Toonami officially announced the premiere date for Sword Art Online: Alicization War of Underworld.
On their Facebook page, Toonami announced the show would premiere on Saturday, January 18th at midnight.

Along with announcing Sword Art Online Alicization War of Underworld’s premiere, they also released their full line-up for January 18th which includes My Hero Academia, Dr. Stone, Fire Force, Demon Slayer, Black Clover, and more.

Sword Art Online: Alicization War of Underworld originally premiered in Japan on October 12, 2019.

The show adapts the original bunko’s 9th volume to the 18th volume which includes Alicization Beginning and Alicization Lasting.
The first part of the anime concluded with the adaptation of the fourteenth volume, Alicization Uniting. The second part of Alicization begins with War of Underworld.
Sword Art Online was originally a light novel series created by Reki Kawahara with illustrations by abec. The story follows Kazuto “Kirito” Kirigaya and Asuna Yuki as they play a number of virtual reality MMORPGs that include Sword Art Online, Alfheim Online, and Gun Gale Online.
