Warner Bros. Drops Ni No Kuni Movie Trailer – Watch It Right Here!

Warner Bros. Japan released a brand new trailer for their upcoming Ni No Kuni film.

According to Niche Gamer, the story will following two young men, Yu and Haru, who travel to an alternate fantastical world, where they discover that their friend Kotona is in danger. Faced with this danger, Yu, Haru, and Kotona must make an “ultimate choice.”

Kento Yamazaki will provide his voice talents for Yu. Yu is described as a wheelchair bound young man. However, it doesn’t hold him back as he is extremely intelligent and is always at the top of his class in high school. He’s always had a crush on Kotona, but she’s dating his best friend Haru.

Haru is Yu’s best friend and Kotona’s boyfriend. He’s a star basketball player and one of the more popular students at their high school.

Kotona is an innocent high school girl, who is Haru’s girlfriend, and good friends with Yu.

The Ni No Kuni movie is a collaboration between Warner Bros. Japan and Level-5 that will be animated by OLM, Inc. OLM, Inc. has animated a number of animated series including Pokemon.

Ni No Kuni creator Akihiro Hino will oversee production as well as work on the screenplay. Yoshiyuki Momose will direct the film. He will be joined by Joe Hisaishi who will compose the movie.

Ni No Kuni is a series of roleplaying games created by Level-5. The first game,[easyazon_link identifier=”B00DRS6XMQ” locale=”US” tag=”boundingintocomics-20″]Ni no Kuni: Dominion of the Dark Djinn[/easyazon_link] debuted on the Nintendo DS in December 2010. It would later be enhanced and made available for the PlayStation with a new title, Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. The original game had animated sequences from famed animation studio, Studio Ghibli. It also featured a score by Joe Hisaishi and Rei Kondoh.

The story followed a young boy named Oliver who journeyed into a fantastical world in order to save his mother from dying.

The sequel would follow a young prince by the name of Evan Pettiwhisker Tildrum as he assembles a loyal following and attempts to reclaim his kingdom from a usurper.
