DC’s Suicide Squad will take over the silver screen at the end of the Summer on August 5th, but the merchandise inspired by the dangerously-good film rolled out this past week.
“Suicide Squad marks the theatrical debut of several of the most recognized, fan-favorite DC Super-Villains, and these iconic characters offer WBCP a unique opportunity to create a robust merchandising program aimed at the adult collector via partnerships with the some of the most renowned licensees in the industry,” said Pam Lifford, President, Warner Bros. Suicide Squad apparel and accessories will be found in collection by Hot Topic and Bioworld Merchandising. There will be fashion tops and t-shirts from Junk Food Clothing and Trevco. Under Armor is jumping in with athletic wear as well as a high-end leather assortment from Mathless London. There will footwear from Converse, timepieces from Accutime Watch Corp, and role-play outfits and accessories from Rubie’s Costume Co. and Party City.
As for collectors there will a number of intricately detailed toys and figures highlighted by a line of Multiverse figures from Mattel. There will be stylized figures from Funko, vehicle replica from Jada Toys, “as-seen-on” prop replicas from eFX, and toys and accessories from JLA Direct. There will also be electronic accessories and mobile skins from Skinit Acquisition.
There will also be printed material from HarperCollins Publishers and Titan Publishing that will support the Suicide Squad with a number of print-published works. Hallmark, Huckleberry Toys, Trend Setters, Fashion Accessory Bazaar, and Underground Toys will deliver a number of various paper products.
There will even be Suicide Squad-inspired décor, accessories, and novelty items from top brands including Noble Collection, Franco Manufacturing, Trends International, and more. I’;s sure to find a great spot in your house.
Finally, Suicide Squad merchandise will also be tailored to local markets across Europe, the Middle East and Asia, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific. There will be apparel from Mauritius, Primark, and United Labels. Groovy UK, Forbidden Planet, GB Eye and more will offer novelty items. Movis and Industrias Darks will offer Suicide Squad-inspired programs.
