Caiana Arts recently shared a number of X-Men character pinups featuring Emma Frost, Psylocke, Jean Grey, and Kitty Pryde.
Emma Frost aka the White Queen of the Hellfire Club was originally created by Chris Claremont and John Byrne and first appeared in X-Men #129 back in 1980.
She played a key role in helping Sebastian Shaw become the Black King by deposing his predecessor the Edward Buckman aka the White King, who was supporting Dr. Stephen Lang’s attempts to capture mutants with Sentinel robots.
Not only is Emma Frost the White Queen of the Hellfire Club, but she’s also the head of Frost International and the head mistress of the Massachusetts Academy. Frost used her position as head mistress to not only bring new mutants, but also the sons and daughters of the elite under the sway of the Inner Council of the Hellfire Club.
In her first appearance, Frost appears to be competing with the X-Men in order to recruit young Kitty Pryde. However, by the end of the issue it is revealed Frost’s main goal was to capture the X-Men, which he does expertly using her telepathic powers to put Storm, Colossus, and Wolverine to sleep.
Frost would further reveal more of her powers in another confrontation with the X-Men when she possessed the body of Storm.
With her telepathic abilities, Frost is also able create illusions, mask her presence from other mutants, create psionic shields, mind control, and more.
Along with her telepathy, she would also undergo a second mutation that allows her to enter a diamond form.
While Emma Frost was originally the White Queen of the Hellfire Club, she would eventually become a member of the X-Men.
More recently, she’s become a member of the Quiet Council for the Mutant nation of Krakoa.
Caciano Arts would share their pinup of Emma Frost to Instagram.
