‘Black Dog: The Dreams of Paul Nash’ Graphic Novel Coming in October

Black Dog: The Dreams of Paul Nash by legendary artist Dave McKean will be coming to comic book shelves in October courtesy of Dark Horse.

The graphic novel focuses on the life of surrealist painter Paul Nash. It takes biographical moments from his life, explorations of his work, writing, and imagination and combines them with firsthand accounts of World War I. The novel will be written as a series of surreal dreams detailing how war and extreme situations change us and how we deal with the resulting pain. Nash did this by turning landscapes into powerful and fantastical “psychoscapes.”

McKean is best known for his collaborations with Neil Gaiman, but he also defied expectations with his work on Cages winning multiple awards for Best Graphic Album. He is also the winner of the Alph-Art, Pantera, Harvey, Spectrum, and BSFA awards.

Black Dog: The Dreams of Paul Nash will also have 400 limited edition copies featuring an exclusive plate signed by Dave McKean. Black Dog hits book shelves on October 5, 2016. [easyazon_link identifier=”1506701086″ locale=”US” tag=”bounintocomi-20″]Pre-order your copy today[/easyazon_link]!
