Frank Miller Talks Dark Knight III: The Master Race

In an interview with DC Entertainment, Frank Miller discussed his vision for the Dark Knight, his hatred of Superman, and his love for Carrie Kelley.

Here are our top takeaways from the interview:

Frank Miller believes that he could still be Batman and he definitely looks lively enough to be a proper mentor. Although we aren’t sure if he would be able to help with the martial arts and other physical training required to be the Bat.

The inspiration for the Dark Knight saga came from the realization that he would soon be older than Bruce Wayne at the age of 29. In order to solve this dilemma, Frank reinvented Batman as an older man in his 50s struggling with all the aches and pains that come with old age.

Carrie Kelley is going to play a huge role in Dark Knight III. Miller describes her as “the best student, the mentor Batman ever had. She is as brilliant as he is…and perfectly ready to assume the mantle herself.”

Miller jokingly unveils he hates Superman because he is loved by everybody and the guy who gets all the dates.

He also teased more Batman stories stating, “I’m not dead yet.” when asked whether or not there was a possibility for more Batman, Dark Knight, or other projects with DC.
