‘Harley Quinn and The Suicide Squad’ Announced as April Fool’s Special

DC has unveiled a sneak peak of their Harley Quinn and the Suicide Squad April Fool’s Special #1 over at Comic Vine.

While not technically hitting shelves on April Fools, in fact it will be out on April 6, 2016, the book will see Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel, M.D. welcome us to Evil Anonymous, a support group for super villains in need; where no problem is too insane or homicidal, and where discretion is assured as only a clown princess of crime can – which is to say, not at all. But when Harley Quinn starts using her patients’ own evil schemes against them, it turns out that a much bigger, far more dangerous, and truly life-altering joke is being played on her.

The book will be written by Rob Williams with art from the legendary Jim Lee, Scott Williams, and Sean “Cheecks” Galloway. Jim Lee and Scott Williams worked on the cover and Sean “Cheeks” Galloway will have a variant cover. There will also be a blank variant cover and a 1:50 Black and White Sketch variant cover by Jim Lee. The book is 40 pages in length and will run you $4.99.

This announcement comes in the wake of DC Entertainment really ramping up their promotional material for Suicide Squad which features Harley Quinn played by Margot Robbie and her group of the Worst. Heroes. Ever. A second trailer for the movie will debut tonight on The CW during DC Films Present The Dawn of the Justice League special at 9:30 p.m. ET.
