IDW Reveals Their Latest Creator-Owned Series ‘Satellite Falling

Satellite Falling from writer Steve Horton (Amala’s Blade), artist Stephen Thompson (Star Trek, Brooklyn Animal Control), and colorist Lisa Jackson (Angel) is the latest creator-owned series from IDW Publishing.

Satellite Falling is a sci-fi themed drama focused on a lone human bounty hunter who left her home planet after losing the love of her life. She currently has made a home in a satellite spaceport full of aliens, but her life as she knows it is about to take a turn for the surreal.

Horton looks to explore similar themes from past projects but placing them in a cosmic atmosphere. He promises, “kick-ass heroines, wall-to-wall action, weird-ass dialogue, and amazing artwork.”

This will be the first creator-owned project for artist Stephen Thompson and he explains why he jumped at the opportunity to work on Satellite Falling, “Steve pitched a few concepts my way, and the idea of a single human working as a bounty hunter in a place otherwise inhabited entirely by aliens, haunted by her lost love was too good to pass up.”

Satellite Falling comes to comic book shelves in May. There are currently announced two different variant covers. The first will be from Judge Dredd artist PJ Holden while the second will be a retailer incentive cover from June Brigman.
