Top Cow And Image Announce Upcoming Series ‘God Complex’

Top Cow and Image Comics are bringing GLITCH’s original toy line-up to the comic book world in an all new series, God Complex.

GLITCH, based in Jakarta, has released more than 10 characters over five years. The collectibles are sci-fi and high-fashion reimaginings  of ancient, mythological gods. They include Eygptian, Greek, Chinese, and Japanese gods. The high-end collectibles have become a mainstay in Japan, Hong Kong, and southeast Asia. Each of the characters has a rich backstory and Top Cow Productions and Image Comics aims to bring that rich history to the comic book world in God Complex.

The series will be written by GLITCH co-founder and CEO Bryan Lie. He will be joined by writer Paul Jenkins and artist Hendry Prasetya for the ongoing title.

The series will be set in the futuristic city of Delphi. It follows a digital-forensics investigator named Seneca, who finds himself uncovering a stunning conspiracy and mystery after he begins investigating the death of three church acolytes. Aiding him on his investigation will be his mentor, the Ruler named Hermes. Seneca’s discovery will see his world turned upside down.

The first arc will be titled “Dogma.” The arc aims to question the nature of gods, religion, truth, and human faith all in an age of misinformation and post-truth.

God Complex #1 hits comic shelves on October 11th.
