[Spoilers] Merus Enters The Ring Against Moro In The Latest Chapter of Dragon Ball Super!

With the Z Fighters left for dead after last month’s lightning fast assault, Merus’ sudden appearance leaves the angelic member of the Galactic Patrol as Earth’s last line of defense against Moro.

Merus begins by mysteriously and instantly clearing the battlefield of the injured Z Warriors, save his fellow Galactic Patrol member Jaco, before taking Moro by surprise with a display of his extraordinary skill and power.

As the two continue to clash, it is revealed that Whis and Beerus had whisked the wounded away in order to allow Dende the chance to heal his friends, beginning with Goku.

Freshly healed by the young God of Earth, Goku rushes to the battlefield and relieves Merus from battle, as the Saiyan reminds Merus that the angel will ‘vanish’ if he continues fighting.

However, even with his transformation into his Ultra Instinct Sign form, Goku proves to be of little consequence, as he is swiftly taken out by a single punch from Moro.

Moro then attempts to gain an advantage by using his copy-ability against Merus, but this only results in the angel taking aim at and successfully destroying the gem-based source of Moro’s dangerous power.

As Goku and Jaco begin to realize that the angel is beginning to phase out of existence due to his engagement in battle, Merus summons his halo and decides to use up the last of his mortal energies to launch one last all-out attack on Moro and successfully destroys the villain’s final ‘gem.’

This final attack leads Merus to completely fade, but not before telling Goku that he has “come to love this galaxy” and asks the Saiyan warrior to “please protect it all.”

An enranged Goku will deal with the fallout of Merus’ death and his anger towards Moro when the next chapter of Dragon Ball Super releases on September 18th.

The latest chapter of Dragon Ball Super, wherein readers can view Merus’ full angel-powered rush on Moro, is now available to read on ViZ’s official website.
