The Seven Deadly Sins Manga End Date Announced

The Seven Deadly Sins mangaka Nakaba Suzuki has recently confirmed that the fantasy shonen series will officially be ending.

On February 12th, the editor of The Seven Deadly Sins posted photos of multiple cover proofs for various Kodansha books, including a proof for the cover of the upcoming 40th volume of the manga:

Visible in the proofs was an author’s note from Suzuki, which stated that the series has “one more volume left.” That volume, the 41st, is expected to ship on May 15, 2020.

Suzuki also stated in an afterward included in the collected volume of the series’ side stories that future side stories based on the “remaining characters” will be published “someday,” noting that they would come out after he “begins serializing a new work.”

The English version of The Seven Deadly Sins 37th volume will be published by Kodansha on March 24th, 2020. As of December 2018, The Seven Deadly Sins manga had over 30 million copies in circulation.

While the manga might be ending, Netmarble recently launched The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross mobile globally. The game allows players to relive the anime with Meliodas, Elizabeth, and the rest of the Seven Deadly Sins.

The manga has also been adapted into three anime series. The first two seasons were produced by A-1 Pictures with the third season produced by Studio Deen. All three seasons are available to stream on Netflix. A Seven Deadly Sins films titled, The Seven Deadly Sins the Movie: Prisoners of the Sky is also available to stream on Netflix.
