Avengers: Endgame Estimated to Bring in $750M+ At Global Box Office on Opening Weekend

Avengers: Endgame’s opening weekend is less than a month way and recent estimates indicate it could have a massive global opening weekend ranging from $750 million to $800 million.

The Hollywood Reporter (THR) indicates “Endgame could open in the $750 million – $800 million range worldwide, thanks to a day-and-date debut in China.” While Endgame looks to have a monster opening weekend worldwide, it is also expected to have a huge debut in North America as well. THR reports it could open “anywhere from $200 million-$250 million.”

Atom Tickets reports the North America box office estimate “feels very conservative, seeing as how Infinity War opened to $257.6 million.”

And it might just be very conservative as Deadline indicates it’s possible for the film to have a three-day earning of close to $300 million. Deadline notes the $300 million mark is possible if Endgame “has only four or five showtimes a day, at a 70% capacity at 12,000 U.S. auditoriums.”

Avengers: Endgame tickets went on sale earlier this week with numerous fans reporting they were unable to purchase tickets due to major movie theater websites and apps crashing. Despite, numerous people being unable to purchase tickets, Atom Tickets indicated they had sold three times more tickets than Avengers: Infinity War in the first hour of pre-sales. Fandango also reported they had strong pre-sales for Endgame.

There definitely appears to be huge interest in the film and it could break numerous box office records set by its predecessor, Avengers: Infinity War.

Avengers: Endgame will see the Avengers take one final stand against Thanos.

“The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”

Avengers: Endgame will be 3 hours and 2 minutes long. The movie hits theaters on April 26th although there will be showings on April 25th at 6pm local time.

What do you make of these estimates do you think Endgame could hit over $300 million at the domestic box office? Do you think it will do over $800 million at the global box office?
