Avengers: Infinity War Clip Shows How the Guardians Discover Thor

A new Avengers: Infinity War clip has surfaced online which shows the Guardians of the Galaxy discover a severely beaten Thor who appears to have survived the utter destruction of the Asgardian fleet. If Obi-Wan Kenobi were in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he would have said he felt a great disturbance in the force based on the debris and wreckage floating around when the Guardians of the Galaxy arrive.

The clip first aired during the Kids Choice Awards last week and was exclusively shown to fans in attendance. Unfortunately, that means many of us missed out on it. But we were in luck as a number of fans captured the clip and were able to upload it to YouTube. You can watch it above.

The clip begins with Star-Lord and the Guardians of the Galaxy on board the Milano with Star-Lord telling the rest of the team, “All right Guardians, don’t forget this might be dangerous so let’s put on our mean faces.” The camera angle shifts so we can see the absolute destruction they are flying through. Mantis asks, “What happened?” A few seconds later Thor’s comatose body face plants on the Milano’s windshield. In typical Marvel fashion and humor, Rocket exclaims, “Ohhh Wipers! Wipers! Get it off!”

It appears the Guardians do eventually get him off and bring him inside where they throw him down on a table and begin questioning why he is alive. We get more Marvel humor from Drax who gives an extremely detailed description of Thor, “He is not a dude. You’re a dude. This. This is a man. A handsome, muscular man.” Gamora even gets in on the act as she begins massaging his muscles and says, “It’s like his muscles are Kotadi (sp?) metal fibers.”

Star-Lord isn’t too happy about that he tells her, “Stop massaging his muscles.” He then tells Mantis to “Wake him up.” She does. And Thor goes stumbling around the ship before he turns around asks, “Who are you guys?”

It’s a pretty comical scene that promises Avengers: Infinity War might not be as dark as some might expect given Thanos’ overwhelming presence.

What did you think of the clip? I know I chuckled quite a bit at Rocket’s call for the windshield wipers!

Avengers: Infinity War comes to theaters on April 27, 2018.
