Marvel’s upcoming Black Panther movie premiered to rave reviews from many in attendance. The movie has also been breaking ticket pre-sale records. It’s looking to be another mega hit for Marvel Studios.
However, the film does appear to take a jab at President Trump. Gregory Ellwood who hosts the 4 Quadrant Podcast and a writer for ThePlaylist.net appears to have seen the upcoming Black Panther film and reports there is a speech by T’Challa, the Black Panther, that takes aim at President Trump. He says the speech “talks about building bridges and not walls (or something like that).” He then refers to it as a “Subtle jab at Trump.”
Also, great speech from T’Challa that talks about building bridges and not walls (or something like that). Subtle jab at Trump #BlackPanther

This isn’t the first time the film has stirred controversy surrounding President Trump. Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman had choice words regarding President Donald Trump.
“I don’t think that you can use our current President as a barometer for where the entire country is. I think what you can do is you cay ‘well, the country is in a place right now where he is giving voice to white supremacy.'”
He continues:
“I think he has made it OK for white supremacy to exist because he hasn’t said that it’s wrong. He clearly has been in line with some nefarious figures like David Duke when they have made statements. He’s never said. I’m not trying to be partisan in my response to this, I’m just stating the truth.”
He then added:
“You just don’t make statements about things that are not part of your – it’s not part of his domain. Why are you even talking about this when there is bigger stuff, there are bigger fish to fry? Why are you picking a fight with these players. Because you are just going to make more people do it now. And that’s not smart at the end of the day. So, I’m not angry about it, about the fact there is more injustice because he’s not a good judge. He’s not a good person to judge it from. He’s not the best of what we have in our country right now.”
This wouldn’t be the only time Boseman would talk about “white supremacy.” In an interview with Cnet, he talked about the accent he created for T’Challa. He said:
“There’s no way he (Black Panther) would speak with a European accent. If I did that, I would be conveying a white supremacist idea of what being educated is and what being royal or presidential is.”
Will T’Challa’s speech or Boseman’s comments on President Trump deter you from seeing Black Panther or will you still see the film?
