Black Widow Movie Footage From San Diego Comic-Con Leaks

Marvel Studios footage of the upcoming Black Widow film starring Scarlett Johansson from San Diego Comic-Con has allegedly leaked online.

Twitter user @JoshBrolin posted two clips on Twitter of the alleged leaked Black Widow footage.

Before this footage was leaked online, a bit of audio with hints of footage had already found itself online, but now we can see two full clips that give us a good idea of what we can expect.

You can see both clips below:

The leaked footage doesn’t show much from the trailer, but you can hear Johansson’s voice over. She states, “I use to have nothing and then I got this job. This family. I was better because of it. But I have made mistakes. I can’t go back.”

From the audio, it appears Johannson’s Black Widow then confronts a fellow Russian spy. Take a listen.

In the second clip, we hear what sounds like an intense action scene. Following the action, Black Widow states, “It’s good to see you too, sis.” She adds, “Yelena, you just had to come to Budapest didn’t you?” As the clip continues, Black Widow states, “I have a very specific skill set. But I got red in my ledger. I’d like to wipe it out.”

The Black Widow film will take place between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War according to David Harbour, who plays Red Guardian. Red Guardian is described as the Captain America of Russia.

Harbour spoke to IGN about the film, “They’ve known each other for a while and there’s a complex history there. This movie happens right after Captain America: Civil War, and so those events do factor in.” Harbour adds, “She is a Russian operative in a sense, and so they have some history together themselves. But there is a dynamic that evolves where she’s gone beyond in terms of joining the Avengers and his reactions to that.”

Not only will Red Guardian feature in the film, but so will Taskmaster. Marvel concept artist Andy Park revealed an image of Black Widow and Taskmaster going to toe to toe with each other.

Taskmaster is an interesting choice for Natasha due to his ability to mimic or mirror the movements of those he fights against. This could leave a fighter, like Natasha Romanoff who utilizes an array of martial arts techniques, at a disadvantage as the villain could negate her own fighting abilities.

But Taskmaster isn’t the only villain Romanoff will face off against. According to Ryan Penagos, Vice President & Creative Executive for Marvel New Media, the assassin will be battling Yelena Belova, played by Florence Pugh, as well:

As announced at San Diego Comic-Con, Black Widow will hit theaters on May 1, 2020. The film will star Scarlett Johansson, David Harbour, Florence Pugh, and Rachel Weisz. The movie will be directed by Cate Shortland.
