Director M. Night Shyamalan’s upcoming Glass film which ties in the narratives of two of his best movies in Unbreakable and Split into one just released a brand new teaser trailer featuring Bruce Willis’ David Dunn. Dunn last appeared post-credit scene of Split where he just learned about the horrors of McAvoy’s Kevin Wendell Crumb. This teaser gives us an idea of what he has been up to since then!
Take a look:
There’s a whole lot packed into just 18 seconds. Not only does the teaser trailer reintroduce audiences to Willis’ Dunn, but we get a glimpse at what his mission will be in the upcoming feature film.
You can hear Dunn say, “I’m in security.” And while the main shot stays focused on Willis’ face through a broken glass, we see another clip to the right where he’s beating someone up beside a fence. Then we hear a woman’s voice say, “You believe you are a protector.” It then transitions to Dunn saying, “We have to find these girls before he gets back…Listen to me. He’s a mass murder. I have to stop him.”
The mass murderer Dunn is referring to in the trailer is more than likely James McAvoy’s Kevin Wendell Crumb who debuted in Split.
The official description of the film reads:
“Following the conclusion of Split, Glass finds Dunn pursuing Crumb’s superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men.”
Glass is actually Samuel L. Jackson’s character Elijah Price who goes by the supervillain name Mr. Glass. At the conclusion of Unbreakable, we found out that Elijah Price was placed in an institution for the criminally insane.

Dunn’s mission to hunt down McAvoy’s Kevin Wendell Crumb will see him land in a mental institution alongside Crumb as they become test subjects in a study on the “delusion” of having superpowers. It wouldn’t surprise me if Mr. Glass finds himself pulling the strings and setting up another fight between hero and villain as he did in Unbreakable.
The full Glass trailer is expected to drop during San Diego Comic-Con on Friday! The movie will hit theaters on January 18, 2019.
