Captain America actor Chris Evans confirmed that Avengers: Endgame is the completion to Captain America’s arc.
While speaking at a press conference alongside many of the Avengers: Endgame actors, director Joe Russo, and Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige, Evans stated, “I think just the completion of the arc. This movie does provide an ending to a lot of…” Joe Russo interjects with a wrong buzzer sound indicating Evans might be getting into spoiler territory. Robert Downey Jr. asks, “Judges?” Undeterred, Evans continued, “There’s a 22-film tapestry…He’s been through so much.”
However, the answer goes wildly off track when Evans begins talking about the friendships he’s made over spending 10 years working on Captain America. Robert Downey Jr. joshes with Evans saying, “But you couldn’t make it Rudd’s birthday last night?”
Evans is honest saying, “Yeah, I didn’t make it. I was exhausted. It was a long day yesterday. I’m sorry, Paul.”

Many rumors indicate Captain America will make a final sacrifice in order to stop Thanos. In fact, Avengers: Endgame writer Christopher Markus teased Captain America’s fate hinting that he might not be getting up when Thanos is done with him.
“Cap’s been our guy since we started at Marvel. He’s the barometer for the team. You go look for Captain America and if he’s still fighting, you keep fighting. But if he’s sitting on his butt in the dirt, saying, ‘Oh God,’ that really, really means you lost.”
Do you think Evans was about to confirm that Captain America bites the bullet and falls to Thanos in Avengers: Endgame? Or do you think he might get a different ending? What do you expect to happen with Captain America at the end of Avengers: Endgame?
