The bromance between Logan star Hugh Jackman and Deadpool 2’s Ryan Reynolds just heated up. Deadpool showed up in what looks like Hugh Jackman’s bed room or at least dressing room and interrupted Jackman recording a birthday message on Twitter.

Jackman says he was just trying to record a birthday message, but somehow Deadpool is there hanging out on his bed. The two then begin singing along with each other. However, Jackman tells the audience we shouldn’t give him too much attention and that Deadpool is the reason he’s been so busy.
“Don’t give him too much attention. That’s why I can’t be there.”
This gag between the two had its start with the amazingly bad, X-Men Origins: Wolverine nine years ago. In it, Ryan Reynolds played a version of Wade Wilson that most fans of the comics didn’t recognize, but thankfully began the drumbeat for a solo Deadpool film.
As we all know, not all bromances are made equal, and the one shared by Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman has become the thing of legends. In the first Deadpool film, we see this take shape in the closing of the final act as Wade covers his face with a Hugh Jackman mask made out of a cover from People Magazine.

Of course, Hugh Jackman wouldn’t be outdone. He made his own tribute to Ryan Reynolds when he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He flamed the Deadpool star with comments about DC’s Green Lantern movie and his own place on People Magazine’s list of “Sexist People Alive.”

This back and forth hasn’t only been limited to cameos and videos. You can see this on twitter as well as the pair are known to tease one another from time to time.
Pretty sure those are protesters. https://t.co/URNGDCg0cO

Ryan Reynolds has even said he’d like to see the pair in a movie. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, he expressed his wishes:
I want Deadpool and Wolverine in a movie together. What we’re gonna have to do is convince Hugh. If anything, I’m going to need to do what I can to get my internet friends back on board to help rally another cause down the line.
A follow-up tweet even provided an interesting premise.
Not sure if it’s been done, but what if Logan and Deadpool enlist in the Navy’s elite Top Gun Program? #volleyball https://t.co/Pi9UbxcJ0z

It’s great to see that both of them take fun shots at each other. It makes me wonder if we’ll see something in the sequel related to Logan in Deadpool 2? I mean Jackman does say Deadpool is what is keeping him busy, so do you think Wolverine might make a cameo appearance in the film?
Deadpool 2 hits theaters on May 18th.
