The Hollywood Reporter has learned that a Deadpool sequel is already in the works.
Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick the writers for the upcoming Deadpool movie are already working on the script for the follow-up. The two also served as executive producers on the upcoming Deadpool movie and stayed on board during development and production all the while fighting a battle with Ryan Reynolds within the studio system to get the movie made.
Fox hopes to keep the creative team together for the sequel although they have not yet re-signed Director Tim Miller.
Deadpool is expected to make at least $65 million this upcoming weekend.
