Deadpool Teams Up With Celine Dion for Absolutely EPIC Music Video!

Who are some of the most dynamic duos of all time? Batman and Robin? Spider-Man and Mary Jane? Spider-Man and Gwen Stacy? Or Spider-Man and Deadpool of course! But a new team has just arrived in time for Deadpool 2.

Meet the team of Celine Dion and Deadpool!

In this latest piece of marketing, we get an awesome music video for Celine Dion’s “Ashes” which is on Deadpool 2’s soundtrack. The video begins as what you would expect from a normal Celine Dion music video. But then you see Deadpool. The tension slowly builds throughout the video as Deadpool gets close and closer to the stage. You aren’t really sure what’s going to happen to the song or what Deadpool might do on the stage. Finally, Deadpool puts on some stilettos and begins twirling around Celine Dion on the stage.

The video also features a number of short clips from the upcoming film including the X-Force team skydiving, Wade Wilson sharing a loving moment with Vanessa, and the young mutant Russell aka Hot Shot staring up into the sky as the X-Men’s jet lands beside him.

Throughout the song, we are blinded by the dance performance Deadpool gives while one of Canada’s greatest treasures, Celine Dion, belts out some great notes. Deadpool praises Celine’s performance saying, “That was the most beautiful performance I’ve ever seen in my life.” But then he says, “We need to do it again.” His reasoning? “It’s too good. This is Deadpool 2, not Titanic. You are at like an 11. We need to get you down to a 5, 5 and a half tops. Just phone it in.”

Celine wasn’t having any of it. She flatly tells Deadpool, “Listen. This thing only goes to 11. So, beat it Spider-Man.” Deadpool can only reply, “God, I should have asked *NSync”

This is classic Deadpool marketing at it’s finest. 20th Century Fox’s team has again taken the marketing for the film and gone above and beyond.

We’ve been treated to Deadpool’s own issue of Good Housekeeping. He even high jacked Hugh Jackman’s birthday wish video last week.

What do you think, is the song catchy? I know I enjoyed some of the snippets they used from the upcoming movie. And that dance Wade did, was so Flashdance that I was almost hypnotized. I’m stoked about Deadpool 2.

Deadpool 2 will be opening on May 18th, I know I’ll be there!
