Deadpool’s Ryan Reynolds Shares Rejection Letter from Tony Stark!

While Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War is currently dominating at the box office, Fox’s Deadpool 2 is just around the corner. And Deadpool 2 star Ryan Reynolds knows right now is the perfect time to leverage the Marvel Studios and Avengers brand.

Reynolds shared a rejection letter from Tony Stark ensuring Deadpool could not join the Avengers. Interestingly enough the letter was dated April 14, 2012. It means Deadpool petitioned to join the Avengers back before Thanos sent Loki to invade and conquer Earth.

It reads:

“No.
Absolutely not.
Go bother Prof. X.
No.
Sincerely,
Tony Stark”

Reynolds also congratulated the Avengers saying, “From a guy who never knows when to quit, I’m glad you guys never did. Congrats #Avengers.”

Tony Stark must be regretting this decision big time now, given the events of Avengers: Infinity War. I bet if Deadpool tried to join up, they might accept him with open arms. I mean Deadpool has an interesting history with the Mad Titan. In fact, he’s defeated him a couple of times in the past.

In the Deadpool vs Thanos crossover, Deadpool is empowered by the Uni-Power when he realizes that Thanos is trying to kill Eternity. With the power of Uni-Power, Deadpool is able to blast Thanos into a tiny million pieces.

Do you think Deadpool has a chance to join the Avengers following Thanos’ attack on Earth? Or will he get the same answer he previously got?

Deadpool 2 comes to theaters on May 18, 2018. The film stars Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Josh Brolin as Cable, who interestingly enough plays Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War.
