A year after Sony acquired the rights, they have brought on board Jesse Wigutow to adapt Jeff Lemire and artist Dustin Nguyen’s sci-fi comic Descender.
Jesse Wigutow is currently finishing up his adaptation for Brian Michael Bendis’ Fire and recently did a rewrite for Bad Santa 2. He previously worked on a Tron sequel for Disney, The Crow remake, and The Osterman Weekend remake.
The project is being produced by Josh Bratman under Immersive Pictures with Lemire and Nguyen being executive producers. Colubia executives Palak Patel and Eric Fineman will be overseeing the project for the studio.
