Disney just released a brand new Aladdin trailer. Take a look.
Aladdin is directed by Guy Ritchie and is based off a screenplay written by Ritchie and John August based off the classic animated film Aladdin.
Here’s the official description:
“A thrilling and vibrant live-action adaptation of Disney’s animated classic, “Aladdin” is the exciting tale of the charming street rat Aladdin, the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine and the Genie who may be the key to their future.”
The film stars Will Smith as the Genie, Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Naomi Scott as Jasmine, Marwan Kenzari as Jafar, Navid Negahban as the Sultan, Nasim Pedrad as Dalia, and Billy Magnussen as Prince Anders.
The film is composed by Alan Menken and will include new recordings of original songs written by Menken, Howard Ashman and Tim Rice. The movie will also feature two new songs written by Menken with lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.
Aladdin comes to theaters on May 24th.
