Disney released their first Kim Possible teaser for their live action movie inspired by the popular cartoon series for the Disney Channel.

The film will star Sadie Stanley as Kim Possible and Sean Giambrone as Ron Stoppable. The rest of the cast includes Alyson Hannigan as Dr. Ann Possible, Patton Oswalt as Professor Dementor, Todd Stashwick as Dr. Drakken, Issac Ryan Brown as Wade Load, Patrick Sabongui as Dr. Glopman, Taylor Ortega as Shego, Ciara Wilson as Tham, Connie Ray as Nana Possible, and Erika Tham as Bonnie Rockwaller.

The script for the live-action film was written by the original animated series creators Mark McCorkle and Robert Schooley along with Josh Cagan.

This isn’t the first time Kim Possible has been turned into a movie. Disney Channel previously created two animated Kim Possible movies, Kim Possible Movie: So the Drama and Kim Possible: A Sitch in Time.

The original animated series premiered on June 7, 2002 and continued until September 7, 2007. The series focused on high school student Kim Possible who teamed up with Ron Stoppable, his naked mole rat Rufus, and their 10 year-old friend Wade as they worked together to fight crime. They routinely faced off against Dr. Drakken and his sidekick Shego.

The original show was nominated for eight Emmy Awards and won one for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing – Live Action and Animation in 2005. The show ran for four seasons and a total of 87 episodes.

Disney has not released any details on what the plot of this live-action movie will be nor a specific release date as to when it will premiere on Disney Channel.
