The upcoming Avengers: Endgame re-release that will hit theaters on Friday, June 28th will feature over six minutes of post-credit content.
My source tells me that Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame will include two new pieces of content for the re-release.
The first piece of content is an 18 second introduction to the film from co-director Anthony Russo that will play before each feature film.
The second piece and probably the more interesting one is an over six minute post-credit scene. My source tells me it will be 6:19.
With these two pieces of bonus content, Avengers: Endgame will have a runtime of 188 minutes.
My source did not provide me with details on what will be featured in the post-credit content. However, Marvel Studios revealed it is “an unfinished deleted scene from the film.” They also teased that “it will be a chance for fans to get a head start on the upcoming Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man: Far From Home via a special sneak peek.”
Along with the introduction and the post-credit content, Marvel announced today that fans who buy a ticket for the “Bring Back” event will receive “an exclusive piece of Avengers art” that will be available while supplies last.
As for what the post-credit scene could be, a number of fans are clamoring for the Morgan Stark scene with Katherine Langford after Tony Stark passed away.
Joe Russo previously detailed the scene during an appearance on the HappySadConfused Podcast:
“There was an idea that we had that Tony was going to go into the metaphysical way station that Thanos goes in when he snapped his fingers. And that there was going to be a future version of his daughter in that way station.”
Do you plan on seeing Avengers: Endgame with this new deleted scene as post-credit content? What do you think the scene will involve?
