Disney’s Toy Story 4 will be in theaters sooner than you know it and our source recently provided us the details on when you can purchase tickets for the film.
Our source tells us tickets for Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 4 will go on sale on Tuesday, May 28th at 12:00 PM PDT. That means they will go on sale at 3:00 PM EDT.
Theaters have been instructed they can put up show times beginning on May 22nd, but they will not be purchasable until May 28th.
Here’s the official description of the film:
“Woody (voice of Tom Hanks) has always been confident about his place in the world, and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. So, when Bonnie’s beloved new craft-project-turned-toy, Forky (voice of Tony Hale), declares himself as “trash” and not a toy, Woody takes it upon himself to show Forky why he should embrace being a toy. But when Bonnie takes the whole gang on her family’s road trip excursion, Woody ends up on an unexpected detour that includes a reunion with his long-lost friend Bo Peep (voice of Annie Potts). After years of being on her own, Bo’s adventurous spirit and life on the road belie her delicate porcelain exterior. As Woody and Bo realize they’re worlds apart when it comes to life as a toy, they soon come to find that’s the least of their worries.”
Producer Jonas Rivera discussed how this new film focuses on Woody changing with The Hollywood Reporter.
“All of these movies are about how Woody changes: From going selfish to selfless in the first one, the second one is him understanding that things don’t last forever. The third one is about letting go. These are big changes.”
Rivera adds:
“We thought, if we’re going to do this, we need to think about, ‘What is the biggest change?’ What if [his relationship with Bo] was the thing that really changed him?”
Not only did Rivera discuss the upcoming Toy Story 4, but he indicated this might be the last film in the franchise for the foreseeable future.
Rivera noted that Pixar has come under new management with Inside Out director Pete Doctor taking over the reigns. Rivera notes, “He’s really looking out for the new voices and really loading up the development pool. It’s all original films after this one right now.”
Toy Story 4 is directed by Josh Cooley. The film hits theaters on June 21, 2019.
