He told Horowitz:

“When I was in the fourth or 5th grade I got into Nova of all people, and I think they’re kicking around a Nova idea now too. But Silver Surfer man, that’s the one I want to do. I would do anything to do Silver Surfer because visually that would be just be…You could do what the Wachowskis did with Speed Racer, with the Silver Surfer. At the same time, there’s a great emotional story in there, man, where Norrin Radd [Silver Surfer] has to make the choice to save his planet. That would be the one, but I think Fox owns the rights…”

Feige spoke to Horowitz on the red carpet and asked him if he has received a call from McKay regarding a potential Silver Surfer movie.

Feige explained that he hasn’t received a call, but he did see McKay during the Golden Globes and had high praise for him.

“I’ve not gotten a call, but I’ve seen Adam tonight and at a number of these awards and he is not only, as everybody knows, an incredibly smart guy, he is an honest to goodness fan”

He would also explain there is a Galactus cameo in Vice and he was instrumental in making the cameo happen.

“Have you seen Vice? Little cameo. Little Galactus cameo in there that we helped him get. So I look forward to speaking with him more.”

Kevin Feige would go on to express his excitement for obtaining the Marvel characters that have been held at Fox.

“The truth is I’m excited for all of them. I’m excited. It’s not just the marquee names you know. There are hundreds of names on those documents. On those agreements. The fact that Marvel is as close as we may ever get now to having access to all of the characters is something I’ve been dreaming about for my almost 20 years at Marvel. And it’s very exciting.”
