Gwyneth Paltrow on Jon Favreau’s The Chef Show: “We Weren’t in Spider-Man”

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who plays Pepper Potts in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, revealed she had no idea she starred in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Paltrow appeared in the first episode of Jon Favreau’s Netflix series The Chef Show and completely denied that she starred in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Paltrow’s denial begins with her questioning what The Chef Show is actually for. Favreau explains the first time they actually began filming was during Spider-Man. He notes he brought a film crew down to Atlanta and they cooked at the Optimist.

That’s when Paltrow denies she was ever in Spider-Man. She first questions, “Spider-Man?” Favreau responds, “Yeah, we were in Spider-Man together. Remember, we were on Spider-Man?”

Paltrow flatly denies it, “We weren’t in Spider-Man.”

Favreau responds, “Yes, we — Yes, we were.”

Roy chimes in an attempt to jog her memory, “Homecoming.”

Favreau then states, “You were in Spider-Man.”

Paltrow denies it simply stating, “No.”

She then explains, “I was in Avengers…”

Favreau then reminds her of the role she played in Spider-Man: Homecoming, “Remember, Spider-Man at the end, and Tom Holland’s there and you’re gonna walk out and do a press conference? I give you the ring?”

Paltrow responds, “Oh, yes! That was Spider-Man? Oh my God!”

During the entire exchange Paltrow never stops zesting the orange.
