I thought Halloween was going to be my high point this week, but thanks to Jeffrey Dean Morgan I was wrong.

You might remember that Morgan played Thomas Wayne in the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie last year. Since that role, fans have filled the internet with art of him playing the iconic ‘Flashpoint’ version of Batman. In that story, it is Bruce who dies in the ally after a mugging gone wrong and with his death, his parents are left scarred in unique ways.

Thomas Wayne becomes Batman, but a harder, grittier version of the Dark Knight. While his mother Martha Wayne spirals down into insanity. She becomes that world’s version of The Joker. Over the last few months since Batman V Superman, Jeffrey Dean Morgan has hinted at the possibility of him playing Thomas Wayne again as Batman. We know that there is an upcoming Flash movie called Flashpoint. So the door is wide open for him to put on the cape.

During an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Jeffrey Dean Morgan let out a huge hint on whether or not it could happen. In the interview, he is asked about playing Batman and he says:

It’s a paradox universe, Flashpoint Batman.

Then he turns to the audience, flashes a smile and raises his eyebrows towards them. Check out the video for yourself below!

Right after that bit of exchange, he covers his face and laughs. then he goes on to say: “I didn’t say [bleep].” Which if you watch the beginning of the interview he’s referencing spoiling his wife’s pregnancy before the rest of their family knows.

However, he goes on to say, “Really I don’t know anything.” When Kimmel pressed him on whether he got anything out of Morgan, Morgan seemed pretty blunt, “Really, you didn’t. I’m just saying. Nada.”

Regardless of the end of the interview, the beginning seems to be one big of a hint. At least it appears he’s attempting to pitch himself as Flashpoint Batman, if he hasn’t already solidified the role. Though there aren’t any official notices or word of him reprising the role of Thomas Wayne, I believe it would be great to see him return to the DC Universe as Thomas Wayne.

What do you think, will Jeffrey Dean Morgan put down Lucille for a bit and put on the cape to become Batman in the upcoming Flashpoint movie?
