Box office predictions for Lionsgate’s Hellboy are in!
Our inside source provided us another email which indicates Lionsgate is expecting the new Hellboy reboot starring David Harbour and Milla Jovovich to bring in $20 million in its opening weekend. The film is expected to go on to make $50 million during the course of its domestic run.
Hellboy II: The Golden Army would have an opening weekend of $34.5 million and would go on to earn over $75.9 million at the domestic box office.
The first Hellboy movie had an opening weekend of $23.1 million and would earn over $59.6 million at the domestic box office.
It definitely appears Lionsgate is looking to repeat the success of the first film.
The new Hellboy reboot will be 121 minutes long. It has an R-Rating and will see David Harbour’s Hellboy fight to save the world from Milla Jovovich’s evil sorceress named Nimue the Blood Queen.
The movie is directed by Neil Marshall from a script from Andrew Cosby and based off the Dark Horse comic books created by Mike Mignola.
Joining David Harbour and Milla Jovovich are Ian McShane as Professor Bruttenholm, Daniel Dae Kim as Ben Daimio, Thomas haden Church as Lobster Johnson, Sophie Okonedo as Lady Hatton, Sash lane as Alice Monaghan, and Penelope Mitchell as Ganeida.
Hellboy hits theaters on April 12th with early shows at 7pm local time.
