Marvel Studios has released a special new look at Avengers: Infinity War called the “Chant” TV spot. This new TV spot gives us a new look at Thanos as well as he leaps into the air ready to bring down the hammer. In the video above you can see him leaping through the air at the :34 second mark.
Along with our new look at Thanos, we get plenty of new shots of Shuri in action as she fires a blast from her vibranium Black Panther gauntlets from what appears to be the Throne Room in the Golden City. If it is the throne room, it doesn’t look good at all for the troops on the front lines. It’s unclear who she is firing at, but my guess it would be one of Thanos’ Black Order.
We also get a shot of Tony Stark inside the Sanctum Sanctorum as he tells Wong and what we can only assume is Doctor Strange, “We are going to need some help.”
Along with Iron Man, Doctor Strange, and Wong, we get a clip of Captain America presumably reuniting with Bucky Barnes after the two departed at the end of Captain America: Civil War with Bucky Barnes allowing himself to be frozen. We know that didn’t last long as he was working with Shuri at the end of Black Panther.
There’s also plenty of new action shots from the Battle of Wakanda scenes with Captain America, Scarlet Witch, and Okoye.
But maybe the best scene is where the TV spot shows off the classic Marvel humor. Okoye makes fun of T’Challa’s decision to open Wakanda to the world. She says, “When you said we were going to open Wakanda to the rest of the world this is not what I imagined.” T’Challa then asks, “What did you imagine?’ Okoye responds, “The Olympics. Maybe even a Starbucks.”
And just after that scene we get another look at Proxima Midnight doing battle with what may be Black Widow. It’s hard to tell it goes by so quickly.
Avengers: Infinity War comes to theaters on April 27, 2018.
