If he has his way fans can expect to see a familiar face return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Best known for his role as Lex Luther on The CW’s Smallville, Michael Rosenbaum, who played Martinex in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2, wants to see Yondu’s original team back in action. If you don’t remember seeing Rosenbaum, don’t sweat it. Being immersed in CGI, Rosenbaum is completely unrecognizable when he took on the role of Martiex, an alien that has silicon crystal for a skin.
He was seen briefly alongside Sylvester Stallone’s Stakar as well as during the confrontation with Yondu over his trafficking of children. Even in space, most criminals don’t cross a certain line. With that Yondu was kicked off the team.
At the end of the credits, we see Stakar and Martinex come together with Aleta, Ogord, Krugarr, Charlie-27, and Mainframe.
The scene left the possibility of the team returning together in another MCU movie.
This all comes full circle as Rosenbaum tweeted out that he hopes to return for another James Gunn film within the MCU.
Love @ThatKevinSmith – one of the most genuine guys in the biz. Great chat. Hope you're right & @JamesGunn brings me & @TheSlyStallone back

On his end, Gunn has already said that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be the last movie starring Star-Lord’s crew. So any future Guardians movie will have to be with a new group. This raises the question, if Rosenbaum has his way, could a fourth film star Stakar, Matinex and company?
From a comic perspective it could work since Martinex and Stakar (Starhawk in the comics) were members of the original Guardians way back in 1969. In the 31st century, these Guardians were less pirates and more heroic on their ship the Captain America. It could also open up the possibility of seeing Yondu return to the big screen if they decide to do a movie set in the past.
Do you want to see Michael Rosenbaum return with Sylvester Stallone for their own stand-alone movie?
