A new rumor indicates that the Avengers 4 trailer will drop this upcoming Wednesday, November 28th. If this rumor pans out will top off an extremely busy week for Disney.
Over the weekend, Disney dropped their first trailer for the upcoming The Lion King CGI remake. It has been so popular that it has become the second most viewed trailer in its first 24 hours with over 224.6 million views. It’s second to only Avengers: Infinity War, which raked in over 230 million views in its first 24 hours.
And while some might think it would be strange for Disney to drop the Avengers 4 trailer so quickly after The Lion King, they actually have a history of releasing their trailers in bunches. And it makes even more sense that we might see a trailer for Avengers 4 sooner rather than later given The Lion King has a July 2019 release and the Avengers 4 is scheduled to hit theaters on May 3, 2019.
Not only does Disney drop trailers in bunches, but Jeremy Conrad, hints that Disney might actually drop the Frozen 2 trailer on Tuesday leaving Wednesday open for Avengers 4. However, that’s still speculation as well.
I never said the trailer was coming on Monday or Tuesday. In fact there’s another trailer coming this Tuesday, which is why they wouldn’t release A4 then. Of course people on Instagram think otherwise: pic.twitter.com/GCuQy5S7Wj

While Conrad doesn’t name a specific movie for the trailer that will arrive on Tuesday, it’s more than likely Disney’s Frozen 2 animated feature. If Monday and Tuesday are ruled out that leaves a little over 30 days left for the trailer to drop given Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige indicated the trailer would arrive before the end of the year. And the biggest rumor at this point is the trailer could drop on Wednesday.
This rumor comes courtesy of Trailer Track’s Anton Volkov who points out that the Avengers 4 directors Joe and Anthony Russo will be attending a special screening of Avengers: Infinity War on Wednesday at Hollywood’s Cinerama Dome. Along with the special screening there will also be a “very special Q&A with directors Anthony and Joe Russo.”
The event will begin at 6:30 pm PST and when you factor in the run time of Avengers: Infinity War which stands at two hours and forty minutes then the Q&A should start sometime after 9:10 pm PST. This is important because if that’s the case and the trailer is dropped earlier that day, then there is a great opportunity for the directors to comment on it for those in attendance.
You’re probably sick of all this #Avengers4 trailer talk but I kinda need to get this out re: the Collider INFINITY WAR screening on Wednesday because… yeah: pic.twitter.com/GJNNm5B6Nv

Yes, Collider is doing an INFINITY WAR screening in LA with the Russos doing an extended Q&A after. Collider organise these screenings all the time – most often it’s advance screenings of films, sometimes (like MISSION IMPOSSIBLE FALLOUT most recently) it was for the Blu release.

So, they always tie in to something. So if you’re thinking: does the screening have anything to do with the AVENGERS 4 trailer? Most probably, yes. Will they debut the trailer though? Most likely, no That’s important as it seems so many who applied did so in hopes of the trailer.

Most likely scenario is – debuts online sometime before the screening and the Russos use the Q&A to properly discuss A4 for the first time in an interview setting. If it doesn’t? At most they might say the title and hint or reveal the online launch date.

If the trailer does drop on Wednesday it would match up with the history of Marvel Studios films pretty well. The trailer for Captain America: Civil War came out on November 24, 2015. Then the trailer for Avengers: Infinity War similarly came out on November 29, 2017. While those trailers didn’t drop on Wednesday, they both dropped on the last Tuesday in November, it would still make sense for Marvel Studios to get it out in the same time frame.
That’s a lot to unpack. But I want to hear from you. Do you believe we will be seeing an Avengers 4 trailer on Wednesday? Or will Marvel force us to wait a bit longer? Let me know in the comments below!
