A new Japanese trailer for Thor: Ragnarok showcases Doctor Strange.
The trailer starts off with a voice over by Doctor Strange’s Benedict Cumberbatch. He ominously warns, “Thor, I sense a great change in your future. Destiny has dire plans for you.”
Thor responds, ” I have dire plans for destiny.”
The two appear to be meeting in Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Santorum in New York City.
The trailer then goes into scenes we’ve seen before with Cate Blanchett’s Hela destroying Mjolnir and arriving in Asgard.
However, we do get a look at Thor recruiting his own team to take down Hela. That team appears to include Hulk, Heimdall, Valkyrie, and Loki.
We also get clips of Surtur and Fenrir. Notably absent is Jormungand. Jormungand in Norse mythology is the Midgard serpent who encircles Earth. Norse myths detail that when the serpent releases its tail from its mouth Ragnarok will begin.

Marvel teased Doctor Strange would appear in Thor: Ragnarok in an end credit scene of last year’s Doctor Strange. However, we hadn’t seen any footage since then until now.
Thor brought Loki to New York in search of Odin whereupon Doctor Strange offered his assistance in order to ensure Loki would return to Asgard.
Watch:
Thor: Ragnarok stars Chris Hemsworth, Idris Elba, Cate Blanchett, Tom Hiddleston, Tessa Thompson, Karl Urban, Mark Ruffalo, Jeff Goldblum, and Benedict Cumberbatch.
The movie hits theaters on November 6, 2017!
