Poison Ivy Meets Jack the Ripper in New Batman: Gotham by Gaslight Clip!

Warner Bros. Animated’s upcoming Batman: Gotham by Gaslight movie gave us a brand new clip of Poison Ivy meeting the Jack the Ripper.

Watch:

The clip shows Poison Ivy walking down a long, dark alley by herself. Until she runs into a man with a very big chest. Ivy tries to use her special talents to seduce this unknown figure. She even teases that maybe he can’t wait to get back to her apartment and tosses her heavy cloak on the ground revealing a green dress. However, things take a turn for the worse when the unknown figure pulls a knife out of his bag and begins slowly approaching. Ivy begins screaming, “No, no, no!”

It’s an intense clip and definitely shows off the more mature and potentially graphic animated film. This isn’t our first look at the film. We previously got a sneak peek which gave us looks at Selina Kyle, Barbara Gordon, Harvey Bullock, Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Harvey Dent, and Hugo Strange.

The film is based off the DC Comics one-shot Gotham by Gaslight by Brian Augustyn and Mike Mignola with inks by P. Craig Russell. The book is considered the first of the DC Elseworlds stories that takes the classic DC Comics characters and puts them in different settings or alternate timelines and realities. The original comic book story sees Bruce Wayne return from a tour of Europe in the late 19th century only to see him framed for numerous murders committed by Jack the Ripper. Bruce must work with Alfred and Inspector Gordon in order to piece together all of the evidence to discover the true identity of Jack the Ripper.

Batman: Gotham by Gaslight is directed by Sam Liu. It stars Bruce Greenwood as Bruce Wayne and Jennifer Carpenter as Selina Kyle. The film will be available on-demand on January 23, 2018. It then comes to Blu-ray on February 6, 2018.

Will you be picking it up? I know I certainly will!
