The Flash movie starring Ezra Miller will reportedly begin filming in November 2019.
This new report come from Geeks WorldWide who state, “The Flash solo movie is currently eyeing a November 2019 production start.”
The movie had previously been reported to begin production back in February.
However, in October of last year, a report from Variety indicated that the Flash wouldn’t be headlining his own film for quite some time given that Warner Bros. hadn’t actually greenlit the project.
Variety cited Ezra Miller’s commitment to the Fantastic Beasts franchise as the main reason it wouldn’t go into production, making Fall 2019 the earliest they would be able to go into production.
However, Geeks WorldWide indicates that The Flash project could move forward in November because Fantastic Beasts 3 has been delayed and Aquaman raked in over a $1 billion at the global box office. They elaborate, “WB seems to be fast tracking the Scarlett Speedster’s solo film.”
This report comes off a previous one from Deadline which indicated that Spider-Man: Homecoming scribes John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein would not only be directing the film, but would also write the film.
John Francis Daley did indicate that his next movie would more than likely debut in 2020. He didn’t stipulate that it would be The Flash though.
If all goes well, sometime in 2020.

Miller would state:
Anyone that knows anything about Barry Allen knows that he’s always late, but then when he arrives, he gets stuff done. And that’s definitely how this film’s production schedule is proceeding. We are a little late, but the reason why we are late, and this is the honest to God truth. The reason we are late, is because we are all, and I include myself in this, we are meticulously focused on making a movie that is not just one of the greatest superhero movies that we can possibly make. This movie is also going to be a gift to the fans. This movie is going to be a real, pure offering to the fans of this material. And we’ve hit a couple of points in the script’s development where we’ve looked at it and gone, ‘this isn’t it, this isn’t it yet.
He would add that the film would spark the “Speedster Multiverse.”
“We are talking about sparking a whole new universe, which is not just the DC Multiverse. It’s also, it’s the Speedster Multiverse. And the Speedsters are the ones who connect all of the disparate pieces. Because Marvel is a universe, just one world and all the same characters in it. DC is a multiverse. All these different stories with different realities, different characters, and different versions of characters, and the Speedsters are the ones who move through it all. They are like the connecting bridge between all these different collaged parts.”
Miller would conclude, “We won’t make the film unless it’s going to be this consummate, beautiful offering to the fans, and to everybody…We are really focused on making it this super gift to DC fans.”
Ezra Miller’s performance as The Flash in Justice League was one of the more controversial points for fans. Many embraced the his portrayal while others were not so keen on it.
