In fact, she’s no stranger to Catwoman. She actually voiced the character in The Lego Batman Movie.
She’s also had roles in Mad Max: Fury Road as Toast the Knowing and in the Divergent series as Christina.
She also played Leta Lestrange in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
Kravitz’s name had been mentioned in a rumor back in September. That rumor from Heroic Hollywood indicated director Matt Reeves was looking for a person of color or mixed race to play Catwoman along the lines of Zoe Kravitz.
Kravitz seemed to be out of the running as rumors focused on Logan Browning, Alexrandra Shipp, Lupita Nyong’o, Tessa Thompson, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
The actress has not confirmed the casting and it’s still possible she hasn’t officially landed the role.

The film is reportedly inspired by The Long Halloween by Time Sale and Jeph Loeb.
The story sees Selina Kyle as Bruce Wayne’s girlfriend. But she also begins investigating crime-boss Carmine “The Roman” Falcone. Batman also happens to be investigating Falcone and the two perform a little tango as they often do.
The two eventually come to an arrangement to help each other out. Catwoman is instrumental in leading Batman to a warehouse where Falcone has been stashing his loot.
If Kravitz is confirmed to be Catwoman she will join a growing list of actresses who have portrayed the character on screen that includes Michelle Pfeiffer, Anne Hathaway, Halle Berry, Eartha Kitt, Julie Newmar, and Lee Meriwether.
The Batman film is expected to hit theaters on June 25, 2021.
