Robin Wright’s General Antiope Will Return For Justice League!

Robin Wright’s General Antiope might have been killed by the Germans in Wonder Woman, but she will return in Justice League.

Connie Nielsen who will also reprise her role as Queen Hippolyta in the film spilled the beans to the Los Angeles Times when she, Wright, and Gal Gadot were asked if the relationship between Wonder Woman and her mother Hippolyta would be explored further in the DC Extended Universe.

Gal replied, “Of course. The mother daughter and daughter relationship is always a beautiful but complex relationship. I think that there’s a lot more to explore.”

But then Nielsen added the bombshell revealing Wright would return for Justice League, ” [Wright and I] got to do more in Justice League as well. As sisters as well. Kind of badass as well. We can’t say much, but…” That’s when Wright interrupted, “And more of the story, you get some of the history.”

Justice League arrives this November 17 and stars Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, and Ray Fisher as Cyborg.

The movie has gone through two directors with Joss Whedon taking over for Scott Snyder. Snyder left Justice League after his daughter committed suicide.

He told The Hollywood Reporter in May, In my mind, I thought it was a cathartic thing to go back to work, to just bury myself and see if that was way through it.”

“The demands of this job are pretty intense. It is all-consuming. And in the last two months, I’ve come to the realization…I’ve decided to take a step back from the movie to be with my family, be with my kids, who really need me.”
