Rotten Tomatoes Reveals Avengers: Endgame Tomatometer Score!

Rotten Tomatoes has officially revealed their Tomatometer score for Avengers: Endgame.

The Tomatometer score is currently 98% based off of 56 reviews. There are 55 “Fresh” reviews and 2 “Rotten” reviews.

Here’s what some of the reviewers are saying:

Mark Daniell at the Toronto Sun gives the film a 4/4. He writes, “We haven’t seen anything like this before in franchise movie-making. One can only hope that the next 10 years of Marvel storytelling comes close to this.”

Eric Kohn rates the movie a B- at IndieWire. He writes, “As “Endgame” sputters to the finish line, it leaves the impression of witnessing a Marvel Movie Marathon compressed to three hours – and 58 seconds, but trust me, they’re disposable – of unbridled fan service.”

Jake Coyle for the Associated Press gives the film a 3/4. He writes, “More than any of those franchises, “Endgame,” at its best moments, carries the thrill of classic comic-book twists and reversals.”

Brian Truitt gives the film a 3.5/4 at USA Today. He writes, “If the Marvel superhero movies on the whole are your favorite band’s individual albums, “Avengers: Endgame” is the triple-disc greatest-hits package with the really awesome cover and a slew of familiar, comforting gems inside.”

Grace Randolph at Beyond the Trailer says, “Downright Spielberg-ian! A perfect way to cap off ten years of the MCU, and get audiences excited for the next ten.”

Sharronda Williams at Pay or Wait writes, “Avengers Endgame is a beautiful and satisfying culmination of 22 films in the MCU. This film is not only monumental but a love letter to earth’s mightiest heroes and its fans.”

Victor Stiff at That Shelf writes, “This is blockbuster filmmaking of the highest order. Avengers: Endgame is the culmination of a decade’s worth of stories, character growth, and audience investment.”

The two “Rotten” reviews come from Barry Hertz and Keith Uhlich.

Uhlich at Slant Magazine gives the film a 1.5/4. He writes, “Every serious narrative beat in the film is ultimately undercut by pro-forma storytelling, or by faux-improvised humor.”

Berry Hertz at Globe and Mail gives the film a 2/4. He writes, “[T]he entire endeavour loses any sense of emotional stakes or general meaning beyond the deliverance of crass fan-service and incomprehensible visuals.”

While the film has an outstanding score on Rotten Tomatoes, it doesn’t far as well on MetaCritic. Avengers: Endgame currently has a Metascore of 79 from 30 reviews with 28 positive, 1 mixed, and 1 negative.

Richard Roeper at the Chicago Sun-Times gave the film a perfect 100. He writes, “I’m not prepared to instantly label Avengers: Endgame as the best of the 23 Marvel Universe movies to date, but it’s a serious contender for the crown and it’s the undisputed champion when it comes to emotional punch.

Leah Greenblatt at Entertainment Weekly gave the film an 83. She writes, “The movie largely delivers, splashing its ambitious three-hour narrative across a sprawling canvas of characters, eras, and not-quite-insurmountable challenges. ”

Jamie Graham at Games Radar gave the film an 80. They write, “Not quite as good as Infinity War, but wears its three-hour running time with ease and rewards the fans. Part of the journey is the end, and this goes out with a bang that’ll make you whimper.”
