Here’s what moviegoers are saying:
Antoinette D gives the film 4 stars. They write, “Far from home was so good and funny I throughly enjoyed it. I can’t wait to see what happens next with the nerdy Peter Parker because the end credit scenes left a lot of space for whatever comes next. This movie is proof that the MCU can (even though we don’t want it to) survive without Tony Stark.”
Jackson R gave the film 4 and a half stars. They write, “I laughed, I cried, I loved it.”
Greg G gives the film 5 stars. They write, “Even better than Homecoming, which is among my favorite MCU films… a remarkably great comic book movie, a truly terrifying villain, a love story that works, funny jokes. Can’t wait to rewatch it!”
Fennett M gives the film 5 stars. They write, “Absolutely amazing how Spider-Man and Peter Parker’s arc is starting to come full circle. Unlike Homecoming, people complain how Peter relies to much on Tony Stark and his technology, now he does it all himself. This movie is an absolute must see and I would say it’s up there with Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Verse!”
Tone D gives the film 5 stars, They write, “I loved this movie! Great job of continuing Peter’s story & expanding the MCU at the same time. Perfect way to end Phase 3. If you Love superhero movies and you’re a fan of the MCU, don’t cheat yourself by not seeing this at the movie theater. Preferably in IMAX.”
John gives the film 5 stars. He writes, “Dope way to wrap up Phase 3. Didn’t think you could follow-up Avengers End Game but somehow Marvel always finds a way. The Post-Credit has me wondering what they have in store for us Phase 4. Whatever it is I will be tuning in!!!”
Dontsitnearme gives the film a 1 star. They write, “could not have been more disappointed. That was a poorly made money grab. Contrived, lame, stupid.”
McKenna gives the film 3 stars. They write, “I didn’t like how Spider-Man didn’t your the iron spider suit it was disappointing because you iron man made it and it would of made the story better because of all the iron man references.”
Metacritic
While the film, for the most part had rave reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, it was a slightly different reaction on Metacritic. The User Score sits at 7.8 with 18 positive reviews, 2 mixed, and 5 negative.
Here’s what moviegoers are saying:
Peach1019 gives the film a 10. They write, “Amazing movie! Adds humor and is nice that they decided to do something new with Spider-Man unlike doing the whole story again which we all know.”
Raporgi gives the film a 3. They write, “boring predictable, too much mooning over dead iron man. its like a mcdonalds commercial in its pc-ness.”
SuperSam gives the film a 0. They write, “This was the worst Spiderman movie ever, completely ruined the characters from the comics, it’s boring and cringe. There is nothing good in this movie for movie or superhero fans.”
Amheretojudge gives the film a 6. They write, “MCU’s blueprint is shockingly durable or maybe it is the malleability of the writers, either way the summer has still some legs.”
Mac_Leiher gives the film a 10. They write, “I went into Spiderman Far From Home with high expectations and I left with those expectations being met. They couldn’t have done anything better in this movie, the visual effects and action are some of the best scenes in the MCU. It’s definitely the funniest MCU movie in my opinion, and it’s even better than its last movie.”
Randomnonsense gives the film a 6. They write, “Ok so this movie wasnt as good as I expected it to be. It felt very rushed. It had a lot of messed up scenes like when Mysterio revealed his plan… There was a lot of unatural cringy MJ and Peter moments there was a lot of cringe moments….”
