A new Avengers: Infinity War TV spot showcases Thanos threatening to snap his fingers.
The TV spot begins by showing scenes from the New York Sanctum Sanctorum with Wong, Doctor Strange, Bruce Banner, and Tony Stark. It then transitions to Wakanda with Black Panther and his Dora Milaje. We then see Peter Parker looking out his bus window at Thanos’ Q-ship hovering above New York City.
That’s when we hear Josh Brolin’s Thanos begin to threaten the Avengers. “And I can snap my fingers and you’d all cease to exist.”
But that might not be the biggest surprise from the TV spot. We hear Doctor Strange tell Iron Man, “I went forward in time to see all the possible outcomes.” That’s when Tony asks, “Did we win any?” The next we hear is Thanos saying, “It’s a small price to pay.”

The clip also shows some new footage of Scarlet Witch as she appear to unleash some of her full potential on Thanos’ forces in Wakanda. And there’s a new shot of Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet although it doesn’t appear to have any Infinity Stones in it. Even the Space Stone and Power Stone are missing.
Doctor Strange’s line about traveling in the future makes you question everything you might have thought you knew about the movie so far. All of these epic battles could actually be Doctor Strange visiting the future and seeing different outcomes. What do you think is a possible future and what do you think is currently happening? Strange’s time travel discussion also seems to confirm that Avengers 4 will be dealing with time travel as many suspected after photos of the Avengers in their original Avengers costumes surfaced. It’s possible the Avengers might have travel back into the past and collect the Infinity Stones themselves before Thanos does in order to defeat him.
In an interview with Telegraph India Anthony Russo revealed that “Thanos’ primary motivation on a plot level is to go after the Infinity Stones. That’s really the connective tissue that pulls our entire MCU together as the stones are spread out throughout the franchises.” Joe Russo elaborates, “Once he hears about the stones, he realises that if he can get hold of all of the Infinity Stones he can control the entire universe. With the snap of his fingers he could correct the universe permanently by removing 50 per cent of life from it. So, these are incredible stakes for our characters. If the Avengers were built for anything, it’s for stopping Thanos from completing his goal.”
Avengers: Infinity War comes to theaters on April 27, 2018.
